MSCI Inc. Repays an Additional $150 Million of Debt

NEW YORK, Apr 16, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MXB), a leading global provider of investment decision support tools, including indices and portfolio risk and performance analytics, today announced that it had utilized its excess cash and cash equivalents and short-term investments to prepay $150.0 million of its existing term loan facilities. Approximately $61.0 million was paid on its existing term loan A facility and $89.0 million was paid on its existing term loan B facility.

The debt repayment announced today comes in addition to the prepayment on April 1, 2010 of $147.0 million of its existing term loan facilities. In total, approximately $120.5 million has been paid on the company's existing term loan A facility and $176.5 million has been paid on its existing term loan B facility. After these payments, MSCI Inc has approximately $72.9 million in principal remaining outstanding on its term loan facilities.
